My 1974 914 has the typical rust on the rear trunk lid. I have cut out a section on the left side and removed the foam to treat the metal. Should I spray new foam in the opening? Also, even though the finish on the right side is not pitted or bubbled, should I cutout a section and remove as much foam as possible? Any practical help will be appreciated.
