    Kurt, No I have yet to rebuild the vacuum canister. I have been searching for repalcement vacuum diaphragms however, and I found that the VW autostick diaphragm is too small to fit our canisters.

    Hey Ed, I just ran across your post on the Sportomatic thread and was wondering if you ever rebuilt the vacuum can? I'm up in New Hampshire and need to do the same!

    Not really, this is my first as well. Sounds like we have basically the same car. I don't even have the car yet; it's being shipped to me. I did look at it in person, though.

    hi crater. new at this. new on porsche too. got my first one this fall-1970 T sporto. original car, second owner. would like to know more about sporto-have the owner's supplement. do you know sporto's well? thanks.
