    Hi Kevin,

So, as you are aware, I'm going to move forward and reassemble my 3.6 motor. Chris has offered to provide "coaching" if I get into any issues.

One thing that I have not decided on is the use of sealants for the motor. I've read all the postings on Pelican where folks have moved away from the 574 anerobic material for sealing the tomb. What are you doing these days. I did ask Chris and he is still using 574. My issue with that is the short cure time of less than an hour once I drop the upper half in place. There is a lot of fasteners and torquing that needs to take place in that short time. I would be nice to use something that seals as well or better with a longer cure time. I guess the other issues are potential damage from loose material that squeezes out into the engine and whether the material squeeses out as thin as 574 in order assure that main bearing clearances are within spec.

No problem. Auto Machine has done great work for Motodelta's Chris Streit for a number of years. Always has great things to say about them.

    Kevin,

A while ago you gave me a steer to the machine shop in St. Charles. I did take my cylinders in there for miking and had them magniflux and polish the crank that just came out of my 993. I dealt with Kim and the who ordeal was very positive. Thanks for the recommendation.
