I was in Desert Hot Springs soaking up some mineral water and you came to mind when I met a couple of people from SLOtown. Hope your classes are going good and staying interesting...and you're having fun up there. Haven't had the bucks to start the rebuild on my SC engine.... remember? with the spun #5 rod. Got a good used SC crank for 425.
There are a couple of brothers, one in the Philippines and the other in Canoga Park that have been buying the parts off a 911T engine teardown I'm doing. I'm just getting around to the long block but I've already made about 1800. just on the top stuff like carbs, linkage, air cleaner, gas lines, cool, and 300. for an early Bosch distributor.
And now these guys want to know if I'd be interested in rebuilding their '68 911T Targa stored in Canoga Park. What do you charge for doing motors or do you? Long block labor price. Complete rebuild to car and running labor?
Also, I found a site that sells better than ebay or others. Less complicated is what I like ....and totally FREE. It's called www.Samba.com Mostly VW but there is a 911/914/912/356 section that stays pretting busy. Check me out their: ID.. Relayswitcher and see what I have for sale. Stay in touch.
