Thank you for your help. This sounds like a great idea. May I ask why not just put the front caliper on the rear, or is the fit an issue? do you use anything to control the f/r bias? Sorry for all the questions and thanks again. Vas.

Hi Jonathon. Vas from Australia. I was interested to read your break set up recently. I have a 1979 930 that I would like to maintain my original 16 inch wheels. Looking around, I have not been able to find a suitable brake upgrade until coming across your post. Would you be as kind to give some details on your set up and the performance improvement you feel has been achieved. Thank you for your time. Vas930.

Had a play about with 'Windows Movie Maker' - it's pretty easy to use.

I appreciate that, as a Mac user, you won't have a copy of it on your computer - so send me those in-car videos and I'll do the rest. (May even be able to do something about that 'splodge' on the lens.)

Hi Jonathan how much for the gearbox?

    Beat regards Stefan/Homegrown Sweden

I have a 4 speed from a 1987 930 with LSD. it was getting a little stiff into 2nd, and i think 3rd was starting to go too. So a few bits needed but otherwise it's a good box. I have all the 930 linkage and peddle box too, basically everything that would be removed from a 930 to fit a G50. I'm in the UK though so it may be prohibitive with carriage?.

    Hi Jonathan,

You are having 993TT engine in your 87 911, which kind of a driving balance it has with that heavy engine ? Is it still driveable on track ? do you know how much more there is weight now at the rear side of car vs original ? I am planning 996TT engine to my 78 turbowide carrera.
