Hey there, I found a thread from last year about adding a vacuum pump for the brakes. Did you ever make that modification?

that majic green wire is just a real small coaxial wire (signal wire surrounded by a braded shield wire. nothing magic or special. The problem is with bosch, they stopped making that wire with the correct pigtails. My best guess is to check with barry hershon in detroit area, he is the man with these wires/distributors. google his name for his number I think the shop is called AEI. I found my green wire cut in half during a heat backdate, the PO just used wire nuts to re connect the ends, was like that the whole time i owned it and never missed a beat!! you could use 2-wire twested pair wire and it would work just fine, but, the ends are the problem, good luck

James - Hello. I have an '88 930 also (further to a 'green wire' post you commented on). The car was perfect until May '12 when the main engine harness died (1st owner drove the car hard, many soft parts in the engine compartment were cooked). Porsche took an order for the engine harness under a Euro p/n, but failed to deliver due to one connector being unavailable (Bosch part, on the green wire I think). They refused to ship the harness as-is - 'liability issue'. Now my mechanics are taking out some of the motronic controls, going to 70's era fuel control, etc. I've been given the job to get some 'green wire' (3-5 ft.). Porsche is shipping pigtails that contain the wire (can send a pic), so it must be something that can be had in Europe - but Porsche won't sell any wire, nor communicate the details, so I'm stuck shopping for something close. I can't be the only guy with an 88 930 and this problem - since you've seen this before, can you direct me to an alternate? Thanks

There is a NAPA in Lynden just before you get into town that sells Brad Penn oil in there machene shop in the back. I use Swepco so not sure where the kendall lube would be, but they might know.

Hey James, I see you're in Bellingham and I was wondering if you know of anyone that stocks the famed Kendall gear oil for a 915 transaxle. I may be in your neighbourhood Friday and I can't find it up here...BC. Thanks, Tony

    Hi James,
Just wondering if you had to resize the air correction jets (what size if you did) on your zeniths when you sized all your jets for your 3.0? Just asking because I got a hold of alfa1750 on ebay and wanted to order all the jets on one shipping charge. Thanks for your help in advance. Tony

Is your 81's sc a euro model or for the American Market?
I think there were 2 versions of the compressor pump at the time.
Mine is the American Market, so i guess i should be looking for that black boc compressor?
