For the last 2 years I've been working on finding and understanding all the chip maps in the 84-89 911 cars. I now have all maps defined and understand all the important ones. I have also modified my stock DME and it now has a piggy-back WBO2 setup as well as a real-time EPROM emulator with hit-trace feature that lets me see what cell is being selected within a map wit the car running in real-time. I can alter any map's values on the fly and write them back to the map real-time. I'm now set to dyno tune these DMEs on a load dyno. I have WOT maps already tuned and the next maps are the PT maps most importantly the PT ignition will be tuned for max torque cell by cell.
What I'm looking for is another 84-89 DME to alter and toy with, I've seen some of your posts on this topic. Can I use a 944 or BMW DME? I think the 944 is a good choice but it will need changes on the injection drive circuit since it's a 4cy engine. Can you recommend some other DME?
