Thanks for the reply. I'm only interested in the trans if it's a late mag (915/61) and the rear conversion parts are wevo (at this price). A good late 915 rebuild is 3k, lsd is 3k and the rear conversion is 2.5k so for 7k I'm only getting 1.5k off the price it would be to just have my own mechanic just build it. That said, I'll take it if it has the right parts and case. Need 8:31 due to the torque of the 3.6. Can you please provide the part number off the case and let me know what parts were used to convert it to mid-engine configuration?

As far as the engine, you can either buy the Porsche stock 993 intake, wires, etc., or you can go with 50mm Webers. That way, you don't need to worry about the computer and most of the wires. That was my plan. You can get all the original Porsche intake items at L.A. Dismantlers (818) 767-7243.
As far as the transmission, it was fully rebuilt and never used. There are zero miles on it. The GT LSD inside it is brand new. I believe the 915 transmission is a MAG case. It's what I wanted because they are rare and better for the project I was going to do. When I bought the trans it was in great shape and working fine before I rebuilt it. The gear ratios are stock.

Also interested in your 3.6 for the same project. Was planning to buy a complete engine but this one looks pretty nice. What do I need to complete the long block, and do you have any of those pieces? Computer, harness, etc. What do you figure that would cost me (I can also ask Patrick or my mechanic tomorrow if you don't happen to know off-hand...)

I'd like it to buy it but need to confirm a just a few things. Mileage since rebuild. Miles on LSD. Parts used to convert to mid-engine: Wevo tail shift kit or other? Want it for my 914-6... also is the tranny aluminum or magnesium (think the transition year is 78 but we could also find out my looking up the part number)
