    Howdy Rick_Pic,

I was searching for some wiring help on my 1976 911 Targa and I came across an old thread of yours. I think I just did the same thing that you did by frying some wires. I crossed a wire with the oil temp gauge and the speedometer and white smoke started coming out of the dash and scared me. I just got the car and really have zero knowledge.

Originally I was trying to clean off the leads because the oil temperature gauge wasn't working, which is still something I have no idea how to do. Anyway I was wrapped the wires in electrical tape and everything seems to be working the same way it was but it got me wanting to explore rewiring.

What was your experience rewiring your Porsche? Where did you get the harness? Do you recommend any certain manuals to refer to? Thanks.
