guidance on 190SL that has been sitting

I am going to fix up and sell a 63 190 SL that has been sitting for 10 years. It is beautiful, shortly before storage the owner had a bare metal re-paint, new interior, new top etc put on the car. Sadly he died shortly there after. I am going to get it cleaned up and running good and sell it for his daughter for a small %.

I need resources...

I need a manual and guidance on pricing the car and where to advertise it?

I see that Pelican lists many of the consumables that I will be replacing. Is there an active forum for these cars?

Would this car be suitable for a a Barrus Jackson type auction?

TIA for any leads.

Hi Erik,

There are two good forums for your project; oursl.com and mercedesshop.com.

You should start monitoring Ebay for 190sl. You can get a pretty good idea of the price range. You can also check the RM auctions and Jackson Barrett websites to see what 190sl cars have done.

Good luck. Let me know how it turns out. I would love to see pictures...

Jeffrey
