Philly meet?

I was just wondering if anybody would want to get a gathering together around the Philly area? Just feeling this out for now to see how many people would want to go. I left a note on a 944S today, and there are 2 other 944's in my neighborhood, and 2 930's that are near me too. Let me if your interested and lets get rolling! I am thinking late July/early August?? Anyone?

You two should get together with the local pca region. Go to Porsche club of America, region two and find the resentoter forums. YOu will find the local guys are alot of fun. If you'd like to you should come out to the next autocross event and watch or even participate. My name is Jim. Right now I'm driving a m3. If either one of you want I will give you a ride. At the autocross events you will find 944 968 gt3 and everthing else inbetween. They have get togethers about once a month.

Actually its called Warrminster Park. Its of off Bristal road. Were the old air base used to be.

Its probably too late, but word of advice if you drive along with Jim... bring a vomit bag just in case.

The guys in this area are great, it terrible that we haven't really done anything in a while. I'm hoping to have more of us air cooled guys on the RTR rallies. Guys, RTR's fall rally is next sunday. From the RTR website


The fall rally will be held on Sunday, October 5th, 2008.

It will be a "Tulip Rally", google that name for more information. There will also be photo identification and visits to historic sites. The rally will begin at Michael's Diner in Douglassville PA. It is located at the intersection of Routes 422 and 662, on the Northwest corner. Please park away from the diner nearer to the Rite Aid. Registration will open at 8:45 am with a driver's meeting at 9:30 with first car off at 10:00 am. It will take about 2-3 hours to run the rally and with that in mind the finish will be at a nice place to have lunch, cold drinks and bench driving with fellow Riesentoters. Sounds good to me if I am off. But I am also thinking I should be changing my T-Belts VERY soon (180k), Ill check out the site Thanks. And you want more air-cooled cars to attend? Not to be a downer or something like that, but does that mean there will be alot of 96-'08 Porsches, or front engined cars?
Also, I put this in the 944 section, since the last meet was a fluff and rainy, it would be cool if we had a nother meeting and went to the Yuengling Beer Factory in Pottsville. Maybee?

Yuengling? The last time I was there, I barely made it home!

The last run we had with RTR was fun overall. It was out near New Hope, there were a lot of the newer cars, a lot more than the air cooled.

The run on Sunday is the last one of the season so I hope to see some Pelicans there.

New Hope is about 15 minuets away from me. And I tried googling the tulip rally, and I got rallyiesfrom Europe, and nothing on the Douglasville one.

The problem is you guys with the water cooled early porsches just have to show up. More of you will come if you just start comming. My buddy has a 968, we were just at THunderbolt and his car was a blast. It was fast.
