I'll try to make it, that's the weekend of my 5 year anniversary, so I'll have to see if I'm in town. I gotta get my taillights back together and back in the car first, but I'll go even if I don't have them. And if I'm not in town.

I have not thought of a place yet. Without scrolling through the thread, I think everyone is spread out and someplace close to downtown would make the most sense. I'm open to suggestions. I think a large parking lot so we could be together would be best. The Cars n' Coffee group just hangs out in a parking lot of a coffee shop. I was thinking of the same thing, but open. Wouldn't mind making it a breakfast/lunch event, but that might make planning more difficult.

I'm guessing The Strip would be too busy. Not sure about South Side in the morning or a good place with an free parking lot. Please feel free to chime in. I'm only really familiar with the CBD, North Hills and Robinson area.

The coffee shop for the Cars and Coffee group is a great place to meet up. Easy to get to, lots of parking, accepting owner, and the 10th would be an "off" week for the Cars and Coffee crowd.

Looks like I'm good on the 10th too. But I'll have to bring the PSV, "Porsche Support Vehicle" because my 2010 winter project is still under way....

Will and Greg, and everyone else, can you do the third? The marathon is on Sunday, so Saturday is ok for me. Since Cars and Coffee is meeting that weekend, we could either crash it or go to their old location near The Mall in Robinson. Also open to other places.

Yes, I believe the 3rd should work. The C&C location is fine, I have never been to one of their events. Warrendale is easy for me.

Sounds like crashing the Cars and Coffee on May 3rd works for everyone, haven't heard otherwise. It runs from 9-12. From what I remember, most seem to be there early and clear out early.

I'm flexible on time, but will throw out that we try to have this group there by 10:00 and stay until at least 11:00.

The location is in Warrendale, right off I79:
Generoasta Coffee
901 Warrendale Village Drive
Warrendale, PA 15086

Put me down for 'planning' on coming. I am in the middle of a bathroom remodel, so I have limited time.

I drove my car to work last week, and the engine started to make a nasty sound. I had adjusted the valves when the engine was out over the winter and apparently didn't get one of the lock nuts tight enough. It vibrated off and the adjuster obviously backed way off. I did manage to limp home, and was really happy to discover the problem was easily correctable. A quick shake down run after the fix - back on the road.

I am having eye surgery tomorrow but plan to make the C & C Saturday.

Look forward meeting all the local Pelicans.

I plan to make the event too. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take the 911. The business trip I went on ran 2 weeks long, so it cut into my putting my 911 back together time.

I'll be driving my dark blue GTI. I'm not hard to miss, I have a long red beard, but short hair.

I was wondering what forum you guys had organized your meet from; I guess I found it

It was nice talking to those of you whom I met. I'm the guy with the arena red 993 turbo. My name is Scott by the way

Oh, and don't let the 993 fool you, I'm as greasy as they come!

When you told me you had a 944 spec racer, I knew you were as familiar with the bottom of the car as the top.

All too true. Actually MUCH more familiar with the "ugly bits"

My dad is an old hot rodder and I cut my teeth helping him build street rods.
