If anyone needs help with anything, please PM me. I'm a guy who's centrally located (live in the city) with all kinds of time on my hands as we head into the colder months.

No I am not a PCA member.

Saw the booth in Hershey.

No one was in the sales mode so I moved on

I don't think there is much activity in my area.

Here's the ARPCA site...
Allegheny Region Porsche Club of America Home

I'm not real active, but the brunch is a nice social event.
They seem to do a bunch of DE stuff at Beaver Run, Watkins, Mid-Ohio, etc.

I ran their road rally last fall (winner) and this spring (biggest loser). Good times. As soon as I'm done with the car I'll be hitting some AX ans DE events.

Glenn - I haven't used them personally, but have heard decent stuff about Allegheny Metal Finishing. They're in Imperial, PA, maybe 15 minutes from the airport.

Sounds like you're making some progress. Have you finished welding all your panels? I need to get by some time.

Thanks Greg. Unless someone else has a better idea, I'll give them a shout.

I just haven't had much time to work on it. Still have some welding to do on the rocker panels and the left kidney bowl. I'm going to leave the lower rear quarter panels off until after I finish the rear suspension upgrade. (it gives me much more room.)

My birthday is coming up the end of this month (big 50) and I have asked for and been granted 5 full days, back to back, to do nothing but work on the car. No Honey-dos, no Daddy-dos. Just garage work. I'm going to start the marathon the Thursday before Labor day weekend and run full throttle through Monday. I hope to finish all the welding and get a coat of primer on (maybe some color). Then re-install the front suspension with new T-bars, struts and bushings. After that, yank the engine and transmission and start on the rear suspension. If there is any time left over, I'll continue to strip the interior.

Found a good place. West Penn Laco. Knowledgeable and helpful folks with the right products.

Getting excited about my marathon effort starting this Thursday!!

Cleared out the garage this past weekend to make room to work. Got all the parts I need. Will pick up the paint tomorrow.

Hey Greg! I've run into a snag disassembling my rear suspension. I can't get the hubs out of the bearings. If I brought the trailing arms up, do you think your hydraulic press could do the trick?

SENNA film in Oakmont

Hey PGH Pelicans, FYI Senna is playing at the Oaks Theater in Oakmont this week! I was shocked when I drove by and saw the marquee, I stopped in to make sure it was the same film. Here are the times: Tues 10-25/Thurs 10-27 @ 5, Wed 10-26 @6. I'm not sure if it is playing past Thursday. I'm headed to the Thursday showing.

MDMILLER, I own the cigar shop in Blawnox across the river from Oakmont. If you ever get over that way stop in and say hello.

If it is the same guy, I believe he goes by the handle of Drumboxer. I have exchanged messages with him. He is very familiar with the value of parts. His prices are fair, but not amazing bargins.

I just got a steering wheel puller if anyone needs to borrow it, one of these $20 purchases I'll never use again so might as well loan it out. I also have a 27mm socket for the nut.

I'm in the North Hills if anyone wants to go for a drive or work on a project. I don't have much experience, but I can be an extra hand.
