P2188 bank a 1 too rich at idle.
08 R56 S Hatch. Recurring P2188. New MAF new O2 sensors. New VANOS. plugs look beautiful. Other than a rare stumble on start runs great. Code puts car in downrate mode. Sick of resetting it every week or so. Added oil catch cans. New leak reseal of oil cooler. New valve cover and vacuum hose set.. Tried new plugs, no change. Dealer shop was clueless abou fix. No change to freqency of code so far. HELP.

Is it stock? I've seen this code with a cracked valve cover, but you replaced yours so that rules that out. I've seen this with an aftermarket ALTA CAI. I have also seen this code with a failing fuel injector on #2 cylinder. Might check your injectors.
