My mini is crazy ?

Please help. I found my mini cooper with sunroof open and windows down, after lacking it the night before, for a minute I thought somebody had broken into, so I decided to drive it and as l was driving the windows and sunroof decided to open by it self after being closed. I went back home and locked the vehicle one more time and about a minute later the sunroof and windows went open with out the ignition or car running. Does anybody have a idea of the problem ? Thanks
Adilo

The mini cooper is a regular mini 2003.

I don't know if the first-gen MINI works the same way, but on the second-gen car if you hold the "unlock" button on the key fob remote down for several seconds, the windows will open. Is it possible that something in your pocket was holding the button down, or the button on your remote is stuck?

Heh, if you were at my house I'd be asking you if a cat stood on the remote. One of the little buggers closed the garage door on me while I was outside, locking me out!! :D

Failing that, I would start looking at the remote unlock system itself, and what could be causing it to get an incorrect signal.

Thanks for your response, now that you subjected that l am thinking that's the case because l did change the battery in one of the car keys and l may being holding the lock button a little longer than usual. I hope it can be reset by removing the battery from the car key for couple minutes. Thanks again!!
