2010 Mini Cooper S
I also had the DME checked and I was told it had some
software issues that were fixed/corrected. Crank, no start Checked compression also, about 180 psi all cylinders After, took it to a shop that had it for 7 days an all they could tell me was the interior fuse box was rusted and they cleaned it out. I'm also being told to have the DME reprogrammed since they cleaned the fuse box. Still crank but no start. What should I try/check next??? Last edited by rlhack; 07-01-2019 at 07:03 PM.. |

Did they check spark? Silly question, test the battery? Any codes in the system?

If there is rust on the interior fuse box I would check the sunroof drains, and then rear into both pick panels. There are several connectors that are prone to corrosion if the sunroof drains get plugged and water leaks inside the A pillars, it’s more common on the r52/53 cars. There’s a very large connector on the r53’s down in the driver side kick panel that is usually the culprit if you have signs of water damage.
