2004 Mini Cooper Hood / Bonnet Stuck
The hood of my 2004 Mini will not release. Cable does not seem to be broken, but will not release with reasonable (or unreasonable) force. Short of a plasma cutter (just kidding) how do I get to the release mechanism? Thanks

Does the cable have tension? Try bumping the hood with your first while a buddy pulls the release, or gently tug on it while someone else tries to release it. Check the alignment of the latch after you get it open.

I ended up answering my own question. Removing the black plastic inner fenders (fender liners) gives relatively easy access to the hood latches.
