Hard to start when engine warmed up

I have a 2011 mini cooper base with a manual transmission.

It starts instantly when cold. After the engine is warmed up and shut off it is hard to restart. It will turn over and start mis-firing and shaking for about 10 seconds then conk out. When I then try to restart it fires up smoothly.

No trouble code shows up.

What causes this?

Any ideas?

Maybe check your MAF, plugs/coils, and see if there are any indications there. Did you do any routine maintenance lately? If not, when was the last time you replaced routine maintenance items?

These articles might help as well: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/MINI_R56/MINI_Cooper_R56_Tech.htm
