NEW ALTERNATOR WONT CHARGE 2008 cooper base
alternator bearings went out installed new replacement alternator its reads 14v for about 2 seconds then drops below 12v . .thought it was bad , went through 2 more with same result / rebuilt original and it worked fine / 2 years later it totally fried . having same issue with replacement alternator there is no intelligent battery system . battery is new .

Update installed a used genuine mini alt and computer now recognizes it and charges fine
