Mini R50 Cvt issue
 

I have bought a 2006 Mini One with Cvt with 97000km. I bought it cheap as the car was displaying EP

My Auto shop have replaced the gearbox oil/filter and checked for error codes, there were none. Gearbox oil was fine, no metal particles

The car typically displays D, then only works in gears 1 and 2. Shifting to manual mode allows only gears 1 and 2 to be displayed/selected. Like this the car slowly can increase speed, and the engine RPM does not drop down until the car is stopped

After a while, possibly warm engine, the Speedo displays EP, but everything works as it should, both in auto and manual mode

So I know the gearbox mechanically is OK, and assume gearbox speed sensors are OK as it works fine in EP mode. This to me also suggests that redoing the adaptation is not required.

My guess is that I either have a faulty transmission cpu or an electrical wiring fault.

Any suggestions/advice
