P1449 frustrations
I own a 2011 Countryman S, the problem started with code P0442 EVAP system minor leak detected. The cheapest was to replace the filler cap, Didn't fix the code. Second I replaced the Breather valve, the code came back. Then replaced the leak pump, reset the code and it hasn't returned.
Only now I get code P1449 DMTL pump current to high. The electrical connection is clean, no corrosion. Because the pump was just replaced the Charcoal filter was the next item replaced. That didn't fix it, the P1449 code keeps coming back. I am hesitant to buy another pump. Does anyone know what else could be causing this code? Getting really sick of having the reset it and will need to solve the issue before the next SMOG inspection. |
