Brake, ABS, & Traction Control Warning

I have a 2001 740i w/ 70,000 miles. For the past several months, the brake, ABS, and Traction control warning lights come on intermittently, usually after driving for a few minutes, sometimes when the car is first started. Turning car off and re-starting can reset the warning lights, although not always.

I have been told several things could be causing this ranging from the alternator going bad to the brake fluid should be changed.

Anyone else experience this, and can you help w/ the solution? Wheel sensors going bad?

Suggestions appreciated.
