Crankshaft seal replacement

Hello,

I am pretty sure my crankshaft seal is leaking as I checked the other known locations (sensor 0-ring, oil pan gasket) and they are dry. Is there an easy button or how-to on this replacement. Is this something a backyard mechanic can tackle?

Thanks,
George

I'm guessing due to the lack of replies that this must be a difficult task. I was hoping to avoid a 200 mile trip to my nearest Mini dealer, but guess I better take it in. Thanks for the looks.

The rear main seal? That requires removing the transmission to replace. Not an easy job at all.

Sorry, meant to say the front seal behind the serpentine belt pully.
