Hello!
I've got a 2005 MCS Convertible, and the top is officially stuck - closed. My wife tried to open the top and heard a "SNAP!" Now only one side of the top unlatches when I try to open it. It's almost definitely the "sunroof" cable that broke out of its crimped fitting. It's probably this part:

I found a YouTube video about how to repair it with JB Weld, but that seems like a hack and I'd rather replace the whole cable. That YouTube video covers partial dismantling of the sunroof part of the top and how to undo part of the mechanism. However, I can't find any instructions anywhere on the web on how to replace the whole cable mechanism. Not even the Bentley manual covers it. Anyone out there know how to fix this properly?
We're in California and it's June, so the top needs to go down NOW!
