Nick - Help! First, thanks so much for your detailed and informative articles. They have made having my '02 MCS here in the British Virgin Islands possible.read No Reliable or Competent Service. As many others, my 2 stage cooling fan stopped working. First ran on stage 2 after shutdown hot environment - nothing unusual there, then wouldn't shut down at all. Seems Stage 1 wasn't working for a time. Then A/C stopped operating. So, I ordered a new cooling fan assembly and replaced it over the weekend. Still not operating. Have checked all of the fuses, which seem fine. A/C INOP still as well and does not kick Stage 2 in when turned on, assume because of fan. Where to go from here?

I would try to activate the fan using a MINI scan tool. If the DME can't activate the fan, the wiring may be faulty.
