Is there still a waiting list?
 
A while ago, these were available, but there was a waiting list? Are they finally for sale off the lot now? Anyone know what the gas mileage on them is? I have a long commute, and I only see gas prices going up.

I wouldnt be surprised if there was still a waiting list. They are selling like crazy in CA.

Here in Chicago a friend of mine was told there is a 6-month wait. (She's into trendy cars, one of the first people to get a PT Cruiser). There's a brisk market for them on eBay - so much so that they already have their own category on eBaymotors.

That's pretty surprising. I'll bet there will be a waiting list for the new VW microbus too!

Put me in line for the new bus. Those things are awesome looking. I also kinda like that Beetle Baja concept they have out there too.

I aslo heard somewhere they were planning on bringing out all the old variants as well, the westy, 21-window, double cab, etc.. I'd love to have a new westy.
