Specialty Products Link Failure
The left rear link on a friend's 2003 Mini Cooper S failed. (see photo)
Considering this is on a car used on the street only and that isn't driven hard, I am surprised at the failure mode. My friend has owned the car just over two years. The link was installed by the previous owner. ![]() |

Ouch. We recommend Hotchkis Adjustable arms as they're great quality and have never seen anything like this result from their product.

Considering how the car is used, my friend could have just had the shop install the OEM links...for a lot less $$$.

As far as a good quality adjustable link goes, Hotchkis is our recommendation. Yes, if he does not wish to have the adjustable links anymore, then OEM/Genuine replacement one's will be just fine.
