Car covers for a convertible

Hi, all,

We just bought a '20 S convertible. I'm new to Minis and convertibles, and we have no garage. Does anyone have any cover recommendations as far as type (half cover vs full) and brands? Mostly we want something to keep the top in decent condition and allow us to peel off snow and ice instead of scraping.

I've heard some people say "no covers" because it will mold, others "no covers" because they'll wear the paint in the wind. We're in the NYC metro, so the weather isn't terribly extreme, and we have trees around so the sun isn't too intense, and we would be driving it on at least a weekly basis, so I'm not sure whether that changes moisture problems vs cars that sit for months/years. On the other hand, it's certainly plenty wet and humid.

Anyway, any thoughts are much appreciated.
