2005 cooper S, seat cover removal

Hi,
The stitching on my front seat (2005 cooper S)is coming loose, and I thought I'd save some bucks by removing the seat covers, to have them restitched. I'm having a problem removing the plastic trim on the seats, does anyone know how to remove them without breaking anything? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, the seat cover may be glued onto the foam and is not the easiest thing to remove. You may have luck restitching it while it's still on. I've had a few individuals do this with success. You could call a local upholstery shop and see what they would quote you for a repair. I can't see it being too expensive.
