Why can't I get 3rd and 5th gear on my 2003 Mini Cooper on the cable ends under the battery can you adjust them. Many thanks Kel

Not adjustable, the cables may be worn or you have an internal issue. Try removing the cables and manually shifting the trans into those gears.
