Perfect, but need help!! First of all, this article has been perfect! I live more than 3 hours from the nearest dealer and appreciate being able to do this fix myself. After successfully replacing one regulator/motor, I've had a complication. The rear part of the window lowered TOO much and fell off the bottom of the regulator rail. Is there an adjustment to make it stop short of falling off?? I see there are plastic screws associated with the cables on the regulator and am wondering if those could help adjust the cable length so it stops 1/2 inch earlier? Thanks!

What year and model are you working on? The regulator should have built in spring loaded stops (most MINis).

It's a 2003. I was able to get in touch with my old mechanic (when I lived near a mini specialist) and he said the cheaper parts fail, and sometimes quickly. So I'm wondering if I got what I paid for with an aftermarket part....

When purchasing aftermarket parts you definitely want to do your research on the brand. From the ones we have listed on the website I'd recommend going with O.E.M. or Genuine MINI branded window regulators. I wouldn't purchase a URO one personally.
