Part question on Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder Replacement

Howdy Pelican! Like dizzyxclown, I'm having a bit of trouble with the feed line on the master cylinder. It took a lot of force to get off and now it doesn't go on the new cylinder very well. I can't tell if I'm simply incapable of giving it enough force or somethings gone wrong with the line itself. Long time fan of your articles and you've always given me great service!

Can you share photos of the line, the old master cylinder nipple?

Your line looks wrong, it should side into the master.

Sure thing. I'm thinking that the hose is just dried out and after removing it isn't returning to it's original size. I found the part is actually called a intake line coupling instead of 'feeder tube' like the article says (MFG #21526756149 for those playing along) and I'm probably just going to order it because I'm kinda in a rush to get this done.

Here is also a picture of the line ends. Hard line fits on a treat and I don't suspect problems.

What's the specifics of your MINI? Year and model? Here is the intake line coupling in our catalog: Pelican Parts - Intake Line Coupling, #8 below.

Just to bring this thread to a close - There is supposed to be a rubber nipple on the master cylinder for the feeder tube. Mine had apparently flew off on removal and was found underneath the plastic I had covered the carpet with.

Now, I don't know if you would like me to start a new thread/article response, but I'm still having some trouble. After bleeding the slave cylinder line keeps blowing off when pressing the peddle.

Strange issue. Post this in the comments/suggestion section of the tech article again: MINI Cooper Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder Replacement. Nick might have a good idea as to what might be going on and why it's blowing off.
