R56 - Picture of head valve side with cams locked
I'm looking for a picture of the valve side of a mini cooper R56 head with the cam lock tools in place and in correct position. I want to see what the valve positions look like when the cams are in position. I'm sure I have it correct but last time I did this I don't recall any of the valves extending past the closed position.

Hello Michael - did you already check our timing tech article for the desired image?
MINI Cooper R56 Turbocharged Engine Timing Chain Guides Replacement (2007-2011) | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article I know figure 10 and 27 show a few of the speciality tools locked into position. If this is not what you need, please go to the bottom of the tech article and leave a comment in the comments/suggestions area and Nick might have a picture for you when he responds to it. |

Unfortunately they do not show a picture of the head with the valve side up and the cams locked. I'm sure I have it correct as the cam stamps are in position with locking tool in place. I can't afford to do this repair a 3rd time as the exhaust valves alone are $40/each and there are 8 of them.
Appreciate the link to the article as I will keep it as a reference during the repair. |
