R53 crankshaft position sensor & o-ring replacement
 

The MINI R53 is known for leaking at the o-ring. There are also some P codes that can trigger a check engine light indicating a new sensor will be needed. If any of these items has happened to you and your MINI we can help!

This article can also be used to replace just the o-ring. Please review figure 8 in the tech article for info and an image of the sensors o-ring.

For the sensors I recommend the OEM supplier or Genuine part. For the o-ring I recommend Victor Reinz or Genuine.
