Nick, firstly...thanks for your time and consideration....helped greatly....had replaced thermostat last year....you know they are subject to leaking....car inside heating system comes up immediately and high speed radiator fan comes on and have to pull relay...sorry for not forwarding info at first....too much Christmas eggnog...like my BMW is there a second thermostat sensor, does the mini possess same...oh, Happy New Year

if the thermostat was replaced, it could be faulty again or the connector is the issue.

Make sure the connectors were plugged in correctly with the thermostat. If they're switched, it'll trigger a fault. I see this often when individuals replace the t-stat. You can also plug into the DME and see if your MINI is getting to operating temp, 220F.
