What are the last 7 digits of your MINI's vin number? Your fuel filter should be located in the right tank. Can you show me pictures?

Can you give me the full vin number? That number pulls up an F20 BMW. It should be on the driver side door. Depending on your vin, I'm wondering if yours is missing. I definitely need to see pictures of what you saw under the right side plate (passenger side LHD, driver side RHD vehicle).

Press the "go advanced" button at the bottom of this thread and then click on this:

Edit: I see your image now. Open the plate so I can see inside. Did you see a unit like this?

Alright, so yours is a euro version R56. The delivery unit with in tank pump & filter part number for your euro R56 N12 is 16112754806. Do you have a unit that looks like this when you look under the plate on the passenger side? You should have a unit like this under that plate. If you don't, I'd probably suggest you call a local MINI dealer in your area and ask if it's normal to not have one in yours, as I don't think your MINI would work without it. The fuel filter with fuel level sensor part number for your MINI is 16112755085 CLICK HERE.

Garage
Hi there,
I have just the same problem as "Posch Barnabas"
I was going to change my fuel filter and when I opened left cover (driver side, my mini is EU/UK model) there was nothing just a top of a plastic fuel tank.
So I opened right side cover and found exactly the same as is on your picture above (fuel pump).
So does it mean that my car doesn't have any fuel filter or is it placed somewhere else?
Any one know? please

Found out the information for you both, assuming marty22 that yours is like Posch Barnabas.

Your units might be like this because it might be meant to be a lifetime unit. It is part of the pump assembly and in order to replace it you have to replace the pump, part number: 16112754806. Recommendation would be to replace it at 100,000 miles or 161000 KM.
