I thought turbo models only have 1 sensor yet this article mentions 2?

Pre and post cat is required. Most cars have 2 or more.

Yep, pre and post cat sensors for turbocharged cars. R56 ones are here: Mini Cooper, Cooper S, and Clubman (R55/R56/R57) - Oxygen Sensors.
