R50/R53 rear spoiler removal
How do you replace the third brake light on an 06 mini cooper with original factory spoiler? Seems spoiler is glued down an in the way of removal of the assembly. Do not want to damage good paint and no leaks in rear.

I believe there are two bolts and two adhesive pads on each side of the spoiler. You can take a blow drier to it with some floss to remove it the adhesive. This image may help:
