Great step by step, and I followed SGratz435 about removing the shift linkage, but now my 2003 Mini Cooper Base won't go in to Drive or Reverse...it does recognize Park and Neutral. I didn't think I changed the tension on the cable.Suggestions please?

Sounds like the cable is installed wrong or needs adjusting.
