After 150.000 km oem alternator of my r52 / 2005 / cabrio damaged. Replaced by a rebuilded alternator, at a bmw service, it is now after 4 months, the fourth time its damaged!!! every month it is damaged and i am obliged to the painful procedure to take it to the service with all the systems down! I don't pay eversince the first time, but actually i cant't trust my car either! Now i'm in the middle of my vacations, away from home, and it happened again. Any advice please?

I would check why it keeps failing. is fluid contaminating it? It a ground faulty? Etc.

Check grounds, check your battery and test the alternator. Is this a MINI certified shop?
