have a 07 plate mini with n12 engine replaced timeing chain and vanos solenoid still got 2845 so replaced the unit on end of cam still same only exuhast cam would a cam sensor bring up same fault

Is that a P-code or BMW code and what is the fault code description?

Did you clear the codes after doing the replacements? I'm assuming you mean P2845? That doens't show up in the Bentley Manual. Are you using a MINI specific scan tool?
