I feel misfiring or rough engine at low rpm, when I go over 1500 rpm it feels normal. When I check compression with all plugs out, Cyl 3 only 25 PSI all other 150PSI, but when I check compression with all other plugs in 1, 2 & 4 and I start the engine with compressor tester on Cyl 3, and I accelerate the car above 1500rpm, cyl 3 gets the 150 PSI as the others. Is this caused by carbón build up or by valves or piston? Thanks in advance.

Cyl 3 is faulty. perform a leak down test to find out if it is valve or piston related.

If you need the proper tools to do a leak down test, we have it here: Cylinder Leak-Down Test Kit - PelicanParts.com. Definitely not a bad idea to perform one.

Hi , ive just joined forum , im Marty , can someone tell me where the vacuum intake tube is located on a 2009 cooper s r56 , i am told that is the correct place to put the spray tube from the liqui moly de carbon spray that i need to try to clear super knock engine light , tried it once , put tube for spray under the big hose clip on top left of engine just forward of airflow sensor , was this ok ? as didnt know where vacuum tube was located , certainly wasnt any white smoke emitted when engine eventually started as people reckoned , does this mean that manifold was clean or that spray tube was in wrong location , thanks Marty .

Marty - what exactly are you trying to do to your MINI? What P codes are you getting?

Doing a spray or sea foam will not clean the carbon out of your MINI's engine. You need to perform a carbon clean up by walnut blasting or following our method here: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/MINI_R56/88-ENGINE-Turbocharged_Engine_Carbon_Cleaning/88-ENGINE-Turbocharged_Engine_Carbon_Cleaning.htm. Let me know if you have questions.
