Anyone missing a Bonnet Badge???

I just spotted these on eBay and it got me thinking.

Wonder why the pins are missing???

Feel free to draw your own conclusions but if anyone is missing one, you may want a closer look.

Dodgy, especially since it's bent. Someone's been naughty...

"Hi there - please confirm the badge is solid gold metal as stated in the description. Also, it appears this has been ripped off a bonnet as the original ones have two pins for mounting through the bonnet holes. Please confirm the badge did not suffer any other damage when being hoisted from someones car. (i.e it is not bent or scratched) "

Cant wait for the answer!

Very good Victor, I wonder how he came to have 2 badges and both with broken pins.

I feel sorry for his victims who not only have to buy new badges but repair the damage these a$$_oles do when levering them off the bonnet.

I will feel really pissed if someone actually bids on them.

I bet someone will bid on them. Probably a school kid, take them home and glue them over his toyota badges on his Starlet.
I had a friend who put razor blades under his badges and some prick tried to steal them off his Porsche. They didn't get damaged but he still had to clean the blood off his Porsches bonnet from the prick who tried prying them up with his fingers.
You Porsche badge stealers need to find another hobby. Grrrrr.

There may be more scared and disfigured cars out there than we would choose to believe.

Unlikely as it may seem, but there may be a perfectly legitamate reason why a person may come to have SO MANY prestige car badges in their possession... but I can't think of any right now.

Is there a way to let the police know? They may be interested especially if Porsche owners have been reporting stolen badges...

Would someone report a stolen badge?

Not sure I would, depends where and when and if you had the 6 hours to spend waiting at the cop shop.

It could be the perfect crime, rip them off and sell them on eBay.

One is sold but the bent one was relisted.

I sent a couple of questions.

What is the origin of this badge?

Will you guarantee this badge is not stolen property.

Regards

Lets see if there is an answer.

He also changed the description to "Solid Gold Plated Metal"
