Looking for someone in Perth to do a thorough PPI on a 993.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Ppi
Hi there.,i just had a PPI on a 911 SC done by a so called porsche specialist in Perth,do lot or research, talk to people in the Porsche club.these guys that looked at this car for me told me it was a good solid car,no mention of peddle cluster worn, gear linkages worn, suspension worn and front shocks shot to bits, they did tell me the gearbox needed a oil change, well guess what oil was new and 3 bits of teeth stuck to the drain plug.I think you get my point.Good luck with it.

I guess you've got four options, minus the one that robeph dealt with.
![]() Chellingworth Motors (main dealer) Expect to pay (a lot!) 08 9273 3131 Andy Stack, RennSport Motors Small Porsche-only workshop Telephone (08) 9336 3911 11 Pamment Street, North Fremantle WA 6159 Email: Andy.RS@Bigpond.com Brendan Anesbury, K-tec Medium size Porsche specialist, check website 72 Howe Street, Osborne Park Telephone (08) 9227 8911 Richard James, RPJ Motorsport Small Porsche-only workshop U15/ 96 Briggs St, Welshpool Telephone (08) 9472 4600 Sorry I can't really vote for or against any of the above because I do all my own work so I haven't actually used their services. All I can suggest is a PM to robeph and phone calls to the workshops. All four are associated with the WA Porsche Club as members and/or sponsors.

Thank for the feedback Bill. Chellingworth have the history on the car and I spoke to them in depth yesterday. You're right about "expecting to pay". $170 an hour at 3 1/2 hours or so including a leakdown.
Robeph. PM sent. Would appreciate some feedback. Perth is not exactly around the corner from Melbourne. Id hate to spend on a PPI, and if that stacks up OK an airfare, then freight back across the continent, only to find issues with the car back home because some incompetant shop didn't do a quality PPI. Thanks

Hi Toto111,
You could probably add a 5th option to billjam's list. I get my 911 serviced by Detlef at Swan Porsche Parts (Small Porsche-only workshop). He's a good honest guy with reasonable prices and I'm sure could provide an honest ppi for you. His details are on his website. Welcome to Swan Porsche Parts cheers,

Thanks for all the feedback guys.
Don't think it's going to happen anymore. Additional photos didnt really do the car any favours. The hunt continues!
