Anyone here up in VT or central NH? Who would want to go to a track day or anything like that. I joined the PCA in the area, but it is mostly a club that is going on scenic drives etc. I totally enjoy the rides but enjoy wrenching and learning about the car a lot more.

Hi Mike,
You must be talking about the Green Mt Region. There are active clubs all around the state but not in the state. We have been to track days with Hudson Champlain, North Country in NH, North East in Ma and Ct Valley regions. All are much more active (DE's) than Green Mt. That's the beauty of PCA, you can join in on events as you wish. We are going to Watkins Glen next week with CVR, I'm not sure what experience level you are but there might be room. Where in VT are you?

I've thought about going to a DE, but i haven't joined PCA so i guess i'm out.
Is it worth joining? Doesn't look like they do much up here.

Pete,
There are a few other clubs and organizations that do track events (PDA, Chen etc) that don't require PCA membership. I agree that the local PCA is rather limited to drives around the northern part of the state. You can join any PCA region you want although they will default you to a local region at first.

Mike,
The Watkins Glen de is with Ct Valley Region. It's a good, fast group. The dates are 10/19 & 10/20. De's are pretty addictive so be prepared. If your folks are down in NH, you should check out what's going on at NHMS. They have a few event left I think.

Yeah that would be great, I will start off with the NH club and see where it goes. I really want to get into learning more about my car and being active with the club.
