Driven to America-Max Hoffman NY

Anyone have more info on this event?

Web page doesn't say much.

Wife and I trying to decide if it is worth a 5 hr drive from Boston.

We would be visiting cousin, but wouldn't take the 911 usually.

Yes. Definitely worth it from all I hear. Also heard that there are many cars driving and being transported from New England.
Just in case here's the site
Www.driventoamerica.com
Hotel info is on site as well
Cheers

what is at the Max Hoffman center ?

would be nice if all the sales records from the 50s were there but I doubt that ,

or a recreation of the old showroom

Anyone know what kind of stuff they have from the 1950s ?

At one time many of these got confused as "Porsche prototypes" including the one restored at Hill and Vaughn in Santa Monica

No idea, never heard of it till I saw this in Panamara.

I grew up 15 minutes from here, but have been gone for 30 years.

Muttontown is a beautiful area, the old Gold Coast, as in Great Gatsby.

Used to tool around the beautiful back roads in the mid 70's in my TR250 chasing my friend in his MGB.

I'm going. I think you'll see some fantastic cars there and from New England you can take the orient point ferry over and have a nice ride along the north shore of LI. (or take the Port Jeff ferry)
