Garage space for rent in the bay area

Hello,

This is a bit of a weird request but, thought I would see if anyone could help me out with any info they may have.

I might be relocating to the bay for a while and was thinking about bring my 911 project up there with me but, I won't have a garage to store it and work on it in.

Does anyone know of any garages in the bay area that rent out space (at a decent price)?

Probably a long shot, since most industrial leases are no less than a couple thousand dollars a month but, thought I would ask the community, as there might be some options out there that I haven't already looked into.

thanks in advance!

Any garage rentals in the Bay Area are going to be stupid expensive
Try looking around Livermore or Manteca or Gilroy
Not too long of a ride to get there

Thing is, it will be better to know where you will be living exactly, before you start looking for space. Maybe look for one near a BART station

I once rented a slot in a warehouse but it was probably highly illegal considering lack of fire suppression, flammables storage, chemical cabinets and container labeling, lack of eyewash, etc etc.
Inspection? Insurance? hah!
Someone set up a commercial business and installed lifts probably incorrectly despite drilling into floor damage. It was like a big co-op but the managers couldn't keep hold of the tenants and visitors. Scummy friends of friends were walking in with their dates to impress the chicks and word got around. One guy left a foot long deuce in the bowl to impress everyone. Another borrowed my drill and polished his car about 10 hours per day. People weren't paying, big theft occurred(probably insurance scam), keys and hours and security cameras and the whole operation was not regulated.
It got too big too fast.

People are going to get nervous when you say "work on the car".
Like a MotorScheister engine rebuild that could mean anything.
Your accident in their garage could put them out of their home.
If your stuff all gets ripped off you want it on the books as well.

You might want to advertise pro-actively in C.L. or newspapers. Word gets around.

where exactly in the bay. it's a vast area.

i know a few garages where a bunch of like minded 911 owners park their project cars. we could see if there are vacancies.
