Spoon problem, need gadget to load magazine

Well, this is embarrassing... picked up my Ruger PC9 9mm carbine:
I have owned a 9mm handgun for decades and never had a problem loading the magazine.
But...
I'm 61 years old.
I'm right handed and have some problems.
I have an old injury where I cut my thumb open and damaged some nerves (but that never prevented my from loading the handgun magazine).
Two years ago I had carpel tunnel surgery.

Long story short I can barely get the cartridges into the magazine, as in almost impossible.

I know they make gadgets that help stuff the cartridges into the magazines but there are a few different models so can someone point me to one that works well and is easy to use?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I posted this question to the Ruger form but then thought to myself "I bet the guys over at PPOT will get me the answer faster." :D

i had this thing for my glock. i damn near lost it immediately i'm sure. its a sleeve that gave me more mechanical advantage to push the previous round down.

nothing like that for the Ruger?

Saw those advertised online, have you used one? Just don't want to pay for something then find out it doesn't work.

that looks like the thing that came with my Glock.

They sell them on Amazon, I'm going to call around and see if any local shops have them.

Thanks!

I second what Randy posted. I have one and it works awesome with single stack and double stack mags. 9MM or .45 it doesn't matter. Get one your thumb will thank you.

I have a love/hate relationship with my Uplula. It loads bullets quick and easy, but I go through bullets like a fat kid in a candy store. I used to stop after 300 rounds because of raw fingers, but now I can go through 800 without a sweat. It'll make you piss money away quicker but does the job well. Turner's Outdoorsman should carry it if there's one close by to you. Most LGS should have them as well though.

From what I understand, this is THE loader to get.

I have something similar that works pretty well, but based on what I saw many years ago on various forums that one is the best of the bunch.

Have a maglula.

It's one of those 'holy crap I wish I'd have come up with this' things.

fantastic product, very much worth the cost and then some.

+1million for the UpLula

Also, consider spending some extra $ now on magazines. I normally only use a single mag and put 5-10 rounds in, and use the time while loading to think about how to improve on next shots, let the barrel cool, etc. but being able to load up enough mags to shoot non-stop for an hour while watching TV is kinda nice :)

Sold, called Turners and they have them (now just to decide if I want black or pink) :D.

Kinda surprised the salesman didn't point me to one when he saw me struggling to get the dummy bullets into the magazine

I have something similar. Your thumbs will bless you.

At that age you should be shooting something like this...….not one of those "kid's" guns!

^^^ This. I have a couple of Uplulas (Uplulae?). Losing some grip strength; these have been a lifesaver, especially for extended range sessions and for those last couple of rounds in the mag. Also have a couple for AR mags, too.

I load up mags the night before a range day, sitting in front of the TV. Good times!

I have several, for different calibers. They really help in loading.

You must have lots of mags.... I thought 4 for each was plenty! .....But it isn't ever enough, haha.

I bought one for the Mini. The Glock came with a gadget very similar to that one.
