Mea culpa - I’ve made my peace with the man

I’ve been publicly harsh with this guy about all the street racing. Turns out he is a really nice guy who, not knowing me from Adam, expressed interest in my car. As a casual brand ambassador for Porsche he’s agreed to making “wise choices.”

Amazing what can happen when you meet someone face to face. I was totally prepared to not like him. But he’s still really interested in the classics and before even seeing my car had won me over...

Carry on Magnus, best to you and yours...

LOL...I've been saying that for a decade now. Magnus is a humble guy, self made, and loves these cars. When I ran the Performance Driving Series for the Porsche Owners Club, Magnus was always the first to volunteer for jobs, always willing to instruct new students, and everybody liked him. With his notoriety came the haters. People act out when they're jealous.

BTW...Who on this board hasn't done some stupid driving on the street?

Good on you for owning your words and taking steps toward righting them. It's difficult to dislike most people one gets to know.

I think he is a cool dude that has a passion for cool cars, I appreciate he likes many other cars not just air cooled 911's.

5am, clear windless morning in the middle of nowhere in Montana. 2005 997S. That car never felt nervous at speed unless there was a wicked crosswind.

Doesn't mean it isn't still stupid. May you who do it NOT be on the evening news like your hero was..
