Posture/back brace

My job require at least 50% working on the computer, when I do that I find myself hunching over the keyboard.
I have looked at some posture braces on Amazon but most of them seem to:
A) Cut into your armpits.
B) Are made of neoprene and I'm already a sweaty guy to begin with.

Are these things snake oil and/or does someone here have a brace they are using and like?

I already have a back brace for heavy lifting, this is only to improve posture, I see old(er) dudes all bent up and don't want that happening to me.

TIA

How about one of those desks that allow you to adjust it for standing up?? I feel good posture is a very important thing, and am mindful of it all the time.

I'm intrigued; I spent 110% of my work day hunched over a keyboard

I drove a computer for decades....most of my career I had the keyboard in my lap, not on the desktop. Worked for me...hth.

I am not hunched over when using a computer.

The first step would instead of trying to mask a problem would be to get rid of it.

Ask yourself, why are you hunched over?

Vision? Could solve with glasses.

Position of items? Move items, or get different items.

I'd get rid of the hunch rather than a back brace.

Great idea (I will consider one of these for at home) but at work my desk is also my workbench).

Technically being a bench I can stand to work on the computer but it is not adjustable so the height is not ideal and I still find myself leaning forward.

If I could lie down on my back on a cushy sofa-type thing and look at a big monitor mounted to the ceiling, with a keyboard suspended from some sort of contraception so I didn't have to lift my arms, that would be awesome.
I wouldn't have to take as many breaks but they'd probably be quite a bit longer in duration.

To reiterate this is at work and work treats money like they are spending their own so I don't expect much help from them.

See a lot of people at work with those standing desks. Also remember the problems some of my parents friends that were on their feet all day too,

LOL when I was a kid we'd hear grown-ups complaining about being too tired to do something with the following phrase: "I've been on my feet all day ..."

Now we don't want to sit all day.

all of this

Also, look at getting a kneeling chair, no seriously. I am a little surprised Thom does not already use one.

HA!

Its actually a video by a physiotherapist turned workout guru.
The nerd is his subject in that particular video

It is 4 really good exercises that have helped me put everything back where it belongs after an injury. (no I'm not the video nerd :-)

What a great video. I'm guilty of all those posture things he mentioned. I'll study it a few more times - thanks.

Good video but what if you don't have gym membership (yes, there are people who don't go to the gym)

However I can see that a big problem is my monitor as I said I'm setup at a work bench, they type that has a build in shelf about 18" above the desk where I store my computer/multi-meter/speakers/Godzilla doll and the monitor is tucked in under that shelf. Raising that monitor is steep #1.
